What is Eczema?

Eczema is a condition in which patches of skin become inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough.
Many people use the word eczema when referring to atopic dermatitis, which is the most common type.

The symptoms of eczema can vary depending on a person’s age and the condition’s severity and can vary by individual.

- open, crusted, or weeping sores

What are the causes of Eczema?

1.Irritants: These include soaps, detergents, shampoos, disinfectants, juices from fresh fruits, meats, and vegetables.
2.Allergens: Dust mites, pets, pollens, and mold can all lead to eczema. This is known as allergic eczema.
3.Microbes: These include bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, viruses, and certain fungi.
4.Hot and cold temperatures: Very hot and very cold weather, high and low humidity, and perspiration from exercise can bring out eczema.
Certain conditions also may increase your risk of Eczema, including hormonal imbalance and stress.
